This prose is for people out there, still reluctant to live their dreams!
I met this brilliantly talented young lady the other day, MBA-Marketing, no more than 29-31. Well read, keen observer & easy with conversations & interpersonal skills.
I was shopping from her Husband’s shop, & she was just waiting for him to close for the day.
With the kind of tête-à-tête we had, I asked her what she did, she smiled and said nothing! I once used to work but now with marriage it is kinda difficult. I asked her why, she said she still wants to & have some ideas for a start-up but it never seems to start-up! And then I read something in her eyes, that i have seen in my mom’s , perhaps in a lot of Indian women.. A pain of sacrifice, a pain of why the hell did I sacrifice & IT IS TOO LATE kind of stuff.
Well, as a matter of fact it isn’t!
With the advent of internet & access to online courses it can never be late. I have friends learning their third language just sitting at home & running coaching on foreign languages, a friend who sells her ART online & paints only when she can make time without loosing any hold on her priorities. A friend is a writer, editor & has her services available online (Mind you she earns in Dollars 😉 Then there is a Skype Teacher, very loved by the refugees from bangladesh, and don’t forget the phenomenal growth & demand on youtube for Cooking videos, DIYs etc!
Possibilities today are unlimited & all those doors are opened by DIGITAL MEDIA!
All you have to know is how this world of Social Chaos operates. Once you possess self sufficient skills in design, marketing & content, who knows you will be next social influencer in the field you love. Sitting at home being very married, changing the world from your kitchen or bed room.
Just go for it, join short term courses for Digital Media or join some good internship programme (Available part time), and you would see IT IS NEVER TOO LATE, infact #few imperfections of life are good!
