I am 4 feet 8″ in height, and I’ve been called little or sometimes kindly called -“Chotu”. I felt out of place with others who are 5 feet 11” and above. I have actually felt “chota” – to put it simply! But when I share what I paint I know I have people actually come forward to talk to me, chat with me, share with me “Ajeeb” stuff and then even remember my name. They just sit with their mouth open as if fixed like a magnet to my paintings, they say I pack so much power into my paints that I can Shake the earth from beneath them. Painting is my Superpower- they say! But do you know me? Do I know you? Do I know “your” super power? Kya aap Apna jante ho?

We sometimes are unable to really know where we stand and what we are good at. We may not always find people who understand what we do, or not get ‘Shabashi”, or even connect with you. And in the waiting for the ‘taaliyan” from the people who just don’t get art in any way, we may not even believe we are “Shaandaar” at something.

What we are trying to do at the INDIAN ART FESTIVAL is create this space that gives everybody a “Mauka” to connect. It is here we provide a “Jabardast” chance for art “nashediyon”, who have art flowing out of them without their own control, or their own realisation ..and need a canvas, a “Madhyam” to pour it out on!

What makes your heart sing out “Zorse” & your heart pump a “DAHAAAD”? What makes you smile and feel forcefully Confident, tall & Shaktishali? This is where you come, to pour out and share all that you are, pure & raw right out there! JUST LET LOOSE and pull others like you who sing art, who shout out art & who are “SHIRPHIRA” about art in all it’s forms and have been hiding these powers far too long !

Yes You, no matter where you may be, which corner you come from, no matter your size your shape , your color or your “Kala”, You who needs to put an ABSOLUTE end to the waiting & “SANKOCH’! Each of us have Superpowers You are asked to come and share what is it that makes you, “YOU” SUPER!
